The Altec Products brand was born in 1977 in a garage in the Twin Cities, America, thanks to the passion of two friends, Paul Plan and Bud Stahel, for motorcycle racing and car culture. Both of them were motorcycle racing enthusiasts and sports car owners. Their passion for cars led to the creation of a hobby business that over the years has grown into a respected brand.
The story began with the design of headlight lenses for the Datsun 240–260 Z sports car. The success of the first product financed the purchase of equipment to create new models and accessories for sports cars. And the success of the Datsun accessory line led to the creation of a unique line of Corvette accessories using advanced surface profiling and computer modeling technologies.
Altec Products also contributed to the industry with the introduction of Line-of-Fire accessories using LED technology for pickup truck tailgates, becoming a pioneer in the industry. Today, Altec Products continues to be a symbol of innovation and style in the automotive industry, and their products continue to delight car enthusiasts around the world.
