The founder, Bart Kuhn, initially had a successful business selling handmade swim trunks, but that all changed when one of his assistants wrapped a piece of fabric around her head, creating a stylish bandana. This moment of inspiration became the starting point for the creation of the BARTS brand.

Starting with winter accessories such as hats, scarves and gloves, BARTS has expanded its line to also offer a summer range with bags, hats, as well as beachwear for women, men and children, clothing for various sports, including skiing.
