Fun World began its history in 1959 with the founding of the S. Rosenberg Christmas Co. Sam Rosenberg was looking to build a successful business before retiring after several failed startup attempts in his youth. In April 1963, the business was purchased by Stanley Geller, Sam Rosenberg's son-in-law, for approximately $500,000, and renamed Funworld, Easter Unlimited.
Fun World began collaborating with factories in Japan, then expanded its activities to Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. In 1973, President Nixon opened up China and it became a major source of supply. Currently, Fun World factories are located in the USA, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Spain and India.
In 1981, the third generation joined the company. Alan Geller gave Fun World a boost in the Halloween industry. He became the "Halloween Guru". In addition, his creation, the GHOST FACE mask and costume, has become part of Hollywood history, serving as a major character in the Scream film franchise and becoming a "Halloween icon," as noted by The New York Times.
Fun World continues its progress and growth. The company is one of the three largest creators and suppliers of Halloween and carnival products in the world, selling its products on every continent except Antarctica.
