Anemometers

Anemometer is a device for measuring air speed. It is used to determine wind speed in various fields such as science, meteorology, energy, agriculture and others.

Anemometers can be of various types and designs. The most common types of anemometers are open anemometers and closed anemometers. Open anemometers have horizontal axes that rotate with the wind and are based on the laws of the Joule-Thomson effect. Closed anemometers measure wind pressure on a specially shaped object and are used mainly to measure air velocity in pipelines.
