Simultaneously with the absorption process, there is a controlled release of active iodine. Unlike traditional antiseptics, iodine in Iodoflex is released gradually at a concentration of 0.9%, providing prolonged bactericidal action without damaging healthy tissues. The dressing effectively destroys bacterial biofilms and eliminates a wide range of microorganisms, including Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Application Area and Advantages

Usage Instructions

1. Pre-rinse the wound surface with sterile water or saline, avoiding drying.

2. Open the individual sachet and remove the protective paper from both sides of the pliable Iodoflex dressing.

3. Apply the dressing directly to the wound, adapting its shape with fingers (in sterile gloves) if necessary to completely fill the wound bed.

4. Cover Iodoflex with a secondary absorbent dressing (e.g., gauze pad) and secure with a bandage or adhesive tape.

5. Change the dressing when it is completely discolored (usually 2–3 times a week, or daily in case of heavy exudation).

6. Use gentle rinsing with saline to remove any paste residue.

Selection Recommendations

When choosing the 6x8 cm size, ensure that the dressing completely covers the wound bed. If the affected area is larger, multiple plates can be used simultaneously. For deep wounds (cavities), it is recommended to choose Iodoflex in the form of ointment or paste in tubes, but for flat ulcers, this ready-made form in plates is the most convenient for fixation.
