MaxiMo has a history of more than 100 years, dating back to 1898, when the company's founder, Bruno Barthel, created a glove factory in Chemnitz, Germany. During the GDR, the company was nationalized, but after its re-privatization as a result of the reunification of Germany, it again became a family business.
Today MaxiMo remains one of the last textile companies producing accessories for children and teenagers in Germany. More than 120 employees are involved in design, knitting, sewing, packaging and shipping at the new plant in Chemnitz.
