Simms Fishing Products is a manufacturer of fishing equipment, accessories and apparel located in Bozeman, Montana.
Simms was founded in 1980 by John Simms, a fishing guide and outfitter from Jackson, Wyoming. John Simms founded the company to produce waders and wading equipment of higher quality than were available at the time. In the mid-1980s, John Simms introduced high-quality neoprene waders to the US market.
In 1992, KC Walsh, a Los Angeles-based management consultant, purchased Simms and moved the business to Bozeman, Montana. Soon after, Simms introduced a line of breathable waders using Gore-Tex. Simms is the only wader manufacturer in the United States and one of only three in the world licensed by WL Gore and Associates to use Gore-Tex in waders.
Today, Simms produces a variety of men's and women's waders, boots, outerwear, apparel and travel accessories for fishermen and outdoor enthusiasts, and is one of the world's leading manufacturers.
