Rüdesheimer Berg Roseneck, Dry Riesling, 2021, Corvers-Kauter Winery
This wine is characterized by an earthy slate aroma. In the mouth, a characteristic acidity emerges, which has a drying and stimulating effect on the tongue. Salty-spicy, full-bodied, yet delicate and pointed. It reminds of blackcurrant fruits, vibrant and intense, with a persistent taste.
The grapes were pressed without maceration. Controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks for approximately eight weeks with subsequent extended storage for up to 14 days before bottling.
Riesling pairs perfectly with the original Viennese schnitzel, fried in butter, cream soup made from potatoes and leeks, risotto with butter and saffron, medium-aged mountain cheese, blue trout, or green pea hummus.
Grape Variety: 100% Riesling. Slope 65% or more. Selective hand-picking in mid-October in Büttene. Vine age 30 years. Yield 50 hl/ha.
Terroir: South/Southwest exposition. Soil cocktail of Rhenish slate and quartzite.
