Erbacher Siegelsberg, Dry Riesling, "Großes Gewächs", 2016 Schloss Reinhartausen
The aroma of ripe apricots and citrus peel, cleary accents. In the mouth, Siegelsberg demonstrates obvious unstoppable power with the finest fruit acidity and irresistible of Riesling. It possesses strength, juiciness, and ripe yellow fruits. Extremely long reverberation - a magnificent Rheingau Riesling.
Selective hand-picking of fully ripened, not overripe grapes at the end of October 2016, in two harvest cycles with 400-kilogram containers. Cold maceration at 4 degrees Celsius in a refrigerated storage. Spontaneous fermentation in double barrels of 2400 liters. Fermentation duration approximately until January/February.
Enjoy with medium-spicy Thai curry, vegetables with roasted nut oil and grated Parmesan, pike-perch fillet with lemon sauce, mature Saint-Mor de Touraine.
Grape variety: 100% Riesling.
Terroir: Siegelsberg - loamy clay soil with Taunus quartzite deep below. Ideal water flow.
